knot is composed of a writer, a clarinetist/visual artist/poet, a percussionist/sound artist and a composer/rapper. Their practice is based on instrumental electro-acoustic improvisation, spoken poetry, freestyle rap, field recordings and sampling. knot's performances encompass interrupted reportage and a form of multilingual speculative storytelling, exploring the counterpoint of factual and virtual.
The continuous releases are sonic documentaries from collective's sessions, tracing the process of mutation that the setup and tools undergo. Around a single table in a small studio, where computers, mixers, speakers, cables, half-built instruments, objects and bodies become sonically merged, they like to get lost in a rhizome of our own doing.
Sound: Tian Fu, Ettore Biagi, Aya Masui
