Fu Tian 天 夫

Fu Tian (天夫, b. Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China) is a composer, rapper, and producer based in Salzburg. He is currently a doctoral candidate (Dr. Artium) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His work spans contemporary composition, electronic and computer music, multimedia performance, free improvisation, and hip-hop.

His artistic practice is driven by the concept of mutual permeation, exploring the dynamic exchange between seemingly disparate musical worlds and challenging conventional boundaries between genres, traditions, and modes of expression.

He is a co-founder of the experimental music duo AUUF (with Antuum), the Chinese experimental rap collective Youquzhi (with Jin Tiaozao and San Cebai), the art-and-ecology collective Eremita (with Sihua Ren, Sophie Thammer, and Xinyue Hu), and the experimental music collective Knot (with Ettore Biagi and Aya Masui). His works have been presented across Europe and Asia in concert halls, festivals, galleries, clubs, and academic conferences.
